SABRIL AMIN
Sabril is Diploma in Dance graduate from NAFA. He started dancing at the age of 7 with Hip Hop followed by Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary & Latin. He has taken part in dance competitions both locally & overseas under Jitterbugs Swingapore & The Dancesport Academy. One of his most notable achievements was when he was selected from over 3000 dancers worldwide to receive the GET THE BEAT Most Entertaining Soloist award in 2017, based on his memorable Jazz Solo, “Fireball” by Weicheng Yang. He has performed in Lasalle & NAFA shows, working with professionals such as such as Melissa Quek, Susan Yeong, Bernice Lee, Dr Filomar Tariao, Gillian Tan, Christina Chan, Jeffrey Tan, Ezekiel Oliviera, Richard Chappell, Lionel Araya and Reneejo Euriel Villarosa.
Sabril has trained in the Scholar programmes under Frontier Danceland & now under Singapore Dance Theatre. He has also taken part in overseas dance intensives with world-renowned universities Boston Conservatory and Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Upon graduating, Sabril was awarded the NAFA ‘Best Graduate Award’ and the ‘Mendaki Award’. He is currently a freelance artist dancing and collaborating with other creative artists & companies such as Sigma Contemporary Dance and Kirishima Dance Corps. Some of his professional dancing highlights include performing in the National Day Parades in recent years, and in the 2021 edition, he will be performing a Ballet-Contemporary Solo at the Singapore floating platform! Sabril is also dedicated to his training in Vinyasa & Ashtanga Yoga and is studying deep Yoga Philosophy through the ‘200hr Yoga Teachers Course’ by One Yoga. He loves taking walks in the city, hiking in the park, and is also a dancing firefighter!
